I have worked in the helping profession for nearly ten years. The early stages of my career began supporting survivors of intimate partner violence & human trafficking in the Baltimore/Washington DC area. Since then, I’ve worked with community-based organizations holding space for Black women & activists in Baltimore, and the city government supporting homicide survivors.
My therapeutic approach is diverse. It includes techniques like exploring thought patterns & behaviors, building skills to manage your emotions, and helping you develop a mindfulness practice among many other things.
I received my Undergraduate Degree from Towson University, and my Master’s in social work from Morgan State University. Since then, I’ve been committed to furthering my education with specialized training. Some of the trainings I’ve most recently attended were: Treating Complicated/Prolonged Grief (2019), Brainspotting I & II (2020), Decolonizing Therapy for Black Folks (2021), and Energy & Sound Healing Certification (2021), Yoga Teacher Training (2022), among others.
